Season Ends @ Valle

Once again the Miller Cardinals run to the Edward Jones Dome has been stopped by the Valle Catholic Warriors.  The Cards fell to Valle 48-25 in the state quarterfinals on Saturday November 10th.  The game became tight as Miller pulled to within 22-17 in the middle of the 3rd quarter but the Valle rushing attack proved to be too strong.  The Cardinals finish the season at 12-1.

The senior class of Chris Collins, Derrick Estell, Dalton Gulick, Jacob Lundquist, Kyle Davidson, John Nunnez, Johnny Dunlap, Colton Sullivan, Brock Johnson, David Hartley, Chance Taylor, Tevon Lee, and David Rose end their career as the most successful senior class in school history.  Their four year combined record at Miller was 43-8.  Congratulations to those young men on such a successful four years.  Thanks you for your hard work and commitment to Miller Football.

Miller Starts 3-0 in 12'

The Miller Cardinal Football team is off to a 3-0.

The season started with a 53-10 victory @ Marionville.  Derrick Estell scored 4 TDs and Dalton Gulick two.  Brenden Richardson had 102 yards on 9 carries.  The defensive line controlled the box against a bigger Marionville line.  Jacob Lundquist led the defensive effort with 12 tackles, 5 for loss, and one sack.

Game two ended with a 46-0 defeat of Liberal.  Sloppy conditions made it difficult to execute on offense.  The defense showed their grit holding Liberal to under 100 yard for the night.  Brenden Richardson and Jacob Lundquist had big nights as they each had over 11 tackles.

Week 3 was moved to Monday as severe weather moved into the area.  Miller defeated a passing Joplin McAuley team 34-12.  Miller overcame a few first half turnovers and intercepted 3 of their own.  The defense held Mcauley to 222 yards passing on 23-47... 200+ under their average.

Miller plays @ Diamond on Friday September 15.
