2-0 Cardinals Head to Hogan Prep

The Miller Football Cardinals are off to a 2-0 start thanks to a 46-21 victory over Greenfield and a 56-0 win over Diamond. The Cardinals next face Hogan Prep in Kansas City on Saturday, September 10 at 1PM. The Rams handed Miller their only regular season defeat last season 27-21.

Junior QB Dalton Gulick is off to a fast start. In 2 games Dalton has completed 21-35 passes for 330 yards and 4 TD and also ran for 155 yards on just 15 carries and 5 TD. Sophmore Brenden Richardson leads the team in rushing with 292 yards on 19 carries with 4 TD rushing. The OL has been strong up front allowing the backs to rush for 650 yards in 2 games. Stewart Parnell and Jordan Moots have led the recieving core to this point.

Defensively Brock Duncan led the team in tackles in game one with 13 but was injured late and had to sit out against Diamond. Austin Richardson has been very strong in the middle of the defense as he leads the team in TFL. Moots has 2 INT while Parnell and Chance Taylor each have one.

Starters Brock Duncan and John Nunez will both be back this week against Hogan Prep. The team will be leaving Friday after school and each player has been given an itenerary on the weekend.
